A gunman opened fire in central Paris on Friday. 

A Kurdish cultural centre was the target of the assailant, who also shot residents there.

The cultural centre, an adjacent restaurant, and a hair salon were all the scene of the noontime attack.

Three people were killed and three others wounded on Friday in a shooting.

A 69-year-old suspect was injured and arrested.

Following the tragic shooting, Darmanin urged the French president and prime minister to grant permission to Kurdish people who wished to demonstrate.

There is no confirmed motive for the shooting.

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said the suspect was clearly targeting foreigners.
