Joseph "Jo Mersa" Marley was a Jamaican reggae artist.

He was a son of Stephen Marley and grandson of reggae musician Bob Marley.

Marley debuted in 2014 releasing, through iTunes and Spotify, an EP "Comfortable".

He also appeared on a Grammy-winning album Strictly Roots by Morgan Heritage.

Jo Marley was married to Qiara. His wife keeps their personal life away from the eyes of the public.

Marley died on December 27, 2022, from an asthma attack, at the age of 31.

A representative for Marley confirmed the singer’s death to Rolling Stone

According to music streaming service TIDAL, he was found unconscious in a car somewhere in the United States.

His grandfather died in 1981 at the age of 36 from melanoma, after having 11 children

Jamaica's Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, also honored Jo Mersa following his death.
