A D.C. teacher died hours after he was shocked with a stun gun in a struggle with police officers in Los Angeles.

Black American man Keenan Anderson passed away on January 3, 2023, after Los Angeles Police had Tasered and restrained him.

After an automobile accident, police instructed Anderson to sit down, which he did, but Anderson later ran into traffic, causing police to stop him.

Anderson died of cardiac arrest 4.5 hours after his arrest, stated police.

A toxicology report showed that blood samples from Anderson contained cocaine and marijuana.

At the time of his passing, Keenan Darnell Anderson, a high school teacher at Digital Pioneers Academy, was 31 years old.

He was the cousin of Patrisse Cullors, who co-founded the Black Lives Matter social movement.

Anderson was arrested around 3:35pm on January 3, 2023 following reports of a vehicular collision

When police arrived at the scene, video footage showed that Anderson was in a distressed state.
